Ashneer Grover has been the most controversial shark on the show Shark Tank India. He has been vocal and crude to the pitchers, giving a true idea of what is wrong with their business. In an interview/podcast he reveals why he is this way and also points out how he goes long way with Anupam Mittal.

Ashneer in this podcast said that he sounds rude to the pitchers simply because he speaks in Hindi. He said that unlike English, which has a musical tone to it Hindi is ‘dhande ki bhasha’ and has nuances that help the speaker get straight to the point. He also says that the people in his office also speak Hindi so that the communication is upfront and not sugar coated.
He also pointed out that he knows Anupam Mittal way before the show since when he was trying to raise funds for BharatPe. He said in Hindi, “I knew Anupam from before. I’d once tried to raise money for BharatPe from him. I got the money from elsewhere, so I never ended up taking his money. In fact, I had made a pitch to him, not once but twice.”
Anupam Mittal is one of the Sharks on Shark Tank India and has been the founder of the matrimonial website Shaadi.com.
He also pointed out that Vineeta was his Junior in College.
