While Showik Chakraborty was arrested around 10 days ago, his sister Rhea was taken into custody last Tuesday. Both have been arrested in an alleged drug conspiracy. As per the latest developments, Showik has revealed several crucial details in his statement to NCB.
Samuel Miranda managed the drug-related finances
In the statement, Showik has said that it was Sushant’s manager Samuel Miranda who used to pay for the drugs. He further said that only for one time Rhea paid using her credit card.
The statement revealed: “Through WhatsApp chat, my sister told me that Sushant is taking marijuana at least four-five times a day. Based on this, I told her that I would arrange five grams of bud (curated marijuana)… Then I contacted Abdel Basit Parihar, a friend of mine, to source bud and shared the rates of bud with Rhea and Samuel Miranda, as he used to be the house manager of Sushant then.”
Bail requests rejected
Meanwhile, the special NCB court has rejected the bail pleas for both Rhea and her brother. It now needs to be seen if the brother-sister duo would move to a higher court for the same.
Rhea’s statements are also being keenly observed in the media at the moment. Big names are said to be involved, and as per reports, Rhea has already named Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh to have been two of the Bollywood celebs who consumed drugs.
On the counter, Kangana Ranaut is in full throttle, declaring that almost 99% of Bollywood consumes drugs. She even asked the likes of Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal to undergo drug tests.
