On Friday, the title track of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara was released by the makers. Composed by AR Rahman and choreographed by Farah Khan, the song became an instant hit because of Sushant’s lively presence.
Farah Khan did not charge for this song
Sharing the song on his social media handle, director of Dil Bechara, Mukesh Chhabra, revealed that Farah Khan did not charge for this song. Recalling the conversation when he had called Farah asking her to choreograph the song, Mukesh revealed Farah’s words: “Tu pagal hai kya Mukesh? It’s your first film. It’ll be a blessing from me, tu bhai hai mera, shut up and tell your producers that I am doing it for you and Sushant.”
Farah Khan talks about the song
Sharing a note about the song, Farah Khan said: “This song is particularly close to me because it was the first time I was choreographing Sushant… We were friends for a long time but never worked together. I had also promised Mukesh Chhabra that when he makes his directorial debut I would do a song for him. I wanted the song to be done as a 1 shot song because I knew Sushant would be able to do it perfectly.”
She further wrote: “We rehearsed a whole day and then finished shoot in half a day. As a reward for nailing it perfectly all Sushant wanted was food from my house which I duly got for him. I see the song and all I can see is how alive, how happy he looks in it. Yes this song is very special to me.“
