Deepika Padukone’s recent film Chhapaakk had failed to impress the audience as it was rated at 4.6 out of 10, reportedly the lowest amongst her previous films. These incidents have occurred due to her visit to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) where she showed solidarity with the students. Meanwhile, the actress has finally broken her silence on the recent events and had some views over her film getting low ratings amongst the audience.
Deepika finally breaks her silence
Since day one when Deepika visited JNU to show solidarity with protesting students, there have been divisive trends on social media. Hashtags like #BoycottChhapaak trended as did #IstandWithDeepika.
Because of such events, the IMDb rating of her film ‘Chhapaak’ faced the anger as people started downvoting the film in large numbers.
They have changed the rating and not mind- Deepika
And now there is a video shared by a fan of Deepika on Twitter, where the actress is seen giving back to the trolls. She can be heard saying that they have changed the IMDb rating and not her mind.
The actress was speaking during a radio program with director Meghna Gulzar. She happily answered the question on the change in the IMDb rating of the film, and said, “Unhone meri rating badli hai, mera mann nahi (sic).”
