Former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq on Thursday stated that Virat Kohli is a wonderful player but he is lucky. Razzaq is the same person who called Jasprit Bumrah an average bowler. Maybe this time he has shifted his attention towards the Indian captain to get more attention.

Pakistan players can be better than Kohli

Abdul Razzaq who is also known as the greatest all-rounder in the history of Pakistan cricket termed Virat Kohli as a “fantastic player” without a doubt, however, he believes the Indian skipper is ‘fortunate’ as he gets full support from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

“He is a fantastic player and there is no doubt about it. But, he is lucky as the BCCI aids him well and infuses the confidence in him that any player needs to succeed. The respect he gets from his board is what apparently inspires him to do well all the time and the consequences are there for all to see,” Abdul Razzaq told.

Virat Kohli

The 40-year-old also claimed that his county’s players can easily beat Kohli’s record provided they get the same treatment from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) which Kohli gets from BCCI.

“I consider that even in Pakistan we have players who could become more genuine than Virat Kohli, but they are overlooked by our system which is a misfortune. In Kohli’s instance, he has taken that confidence shown in him by the board and using his talent, returned them with his performances,” the all-rounder said.

Razzaq on Jasprit Bumrah

Previously, the all-rounder had also taken a jibe over Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah. When the Indian ace bowler is praised by many Cricket legends for his deadly Yorkers and lethal records but this man from Lahore (Abdul Razzaq) believes Bumrah is a ‘baby bowler’.

“I have played world-class bowlers all across the world. I have no issues in facing Jasprit Bumrah. The pressure will be on him if I am in front of him. Because when you have faced bowlers like Glenn McGrath, Wasim Akram or Shoaib Akhtar, you gain confidence. Bumrah is a baby bowler for me. I can easily dominate him. Even he knows that this player has faced all these great bowlers in his time.”

PSL better than IPL?

In his another pointless comment, he said Indian Premier League (IPL) was nowhere near to Pakistan Super League (PSL). Razzaq believes that if a team of best players from IPL takes on a team comprising players from PSL, the latter would win the game.

“If XI best players from Indian Premier League faced a team made-up of the best players from the Pakistan Super League, the PSL team would win,” Abdul Razzaq said.
