All 4 Accused In Hyderabad Rape-Murder Case Killed In Police Encounter

Justice delivered. The 4 hooligans in the Hyderabad veterinarian’s rape and murder case have been killed in an attempt to flee, sources have said. The encounter took place just a few distances away from the spot where the veterinary doctor’s body was found.

The 26-year-old veterinary doctor was raped, murdered and then burnt by four men at night and her body was found the next day on November 28 under a duct on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway. Now on the latest update, the 4 accused have been killed in crossfire in the early morning on NH-44 near Hyderabad- the same highway where the burnt body of 26-year-old Disha was found.

The police had held four men on November 29 in connection with their engagement in the rape and murder case. The 4 accused identified as Mohammad Areef, Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen, and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu were taken to the crime scene for the recreation of the scene at around 3 am. The accused ostensibly tried to flee following which police opened fire.

“They (accused) snatched weapons from police and fired on police and tried to escape… police fired in retaliation. In the crossfire, the four accused have been killed. It happened near Shadnagar where the crime had taken place,” a senior police official told.
