V S Reddy, the managing director of British Biologicals buys first Bentley Mulsanne EWB car in India. Known as the most expensive car in Bentley series, the 5.8-meter-long Mulsanne costs up to Rs 10 crore. The luxury on wheels comes with a 6.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
India’s most expensive Bentley Mulsanne
Bentley has delivered its first Mulsanne extended wheelbase (EWB) car to Karnataka’s Businessman V S Reddy. The founder of British Biologicals said that he waited for this moment for 30 years and buying the Bentley Mulsanne was a dream come true.
“It has been a 30-year journey, and buying the Bentley Mulsanne is a passion and dream come true. The delivery wasn’t scheduled for any special day but is in itself a celebration of the long journey undertaken. I wanna thank my staff because they are responsible for him having gotten this far.” said Mr. Reddy.
VS Reddy is the son of a farmer, his hard work and patience have helped his company grow over the years to be at the top in the respected field.
Luxury on wheels
Finished in rose gold, Mulsanne is 5.8m-long and comes with a 6.8-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that puts out 512hp and 1,020Nm of torque. The engine weighs up to 2,700 kgs which help the wheels reach up to 250 km. Talking about speed, the car can sprint to triple digits in just 5.1 seconds.
The Mulsanne is the most expensive car in the Bentley series which costs up to Rs 10 crore. The glass sunroof with a tinted glass panel makes it more luxurious. The car also comes with theatre seats and a 10.4-inch display screen and 14-speaker audio system.
The car displays 21-inch polished alloy wheels, diamond-quilted leather upholstery, rear quarter vanity mirrors, lambswool rugs, extra legroom at the rear, air suspensions and ‘Handcrafted by Bentley Mulliner’ treadplates along with the existing offering.
Introduced in 2010, the Mulsanne is a worthy contender to the Rolls-Royce Ghost and Phantom.
