Newton trends on twitter as Piyush Goyal made a confusing remark on the discovery of gravity. Social media is in splits as Railway Minister said Einstien discovered gravity.
Railway minister bizarre comment
It all happened when the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman had blamed millennials for the decline of the auto sector. She said people are not buying cars because they are using app-based cab aggregates like OLA and Uber to travel from one place to another within the city.
“Automobile sector, in particular, has been affected by several things. These include BS6 (Bharat Stage 6) movement, the registration fee issue that has been deferred till June and the mindset of millennials, who are now preferring not to commit EMIs to buy automobiles but prefer to use Ola or Uber or take the metro,” Ms. Sitharaman said.
Commerce and Industrial minister Piyush Goyal, at the meeting of Board of Trade, remarked that maths did not help Albert Einstein to discover gravity. Siting the target of doubling the size of the economy to USD 5 trillion. Mr. Goyal said the issue should not be analyzed through the prism of Maths.
“Do not get into the calculations that you see on television. Oh if you are looking at USD 5 trillion economies, the country will have to grow at 12 percent, today it is growing at 6-7 percent. Do not get into those maths. Those maths have never helped Einstein discover gravity,” he said.
Twitter is filled with Jokes
This is where the netizens came under force and a series of trolls struck the Railway minister.
Ok, all people chill down a bit.@PiyushGoyal has clarified that he made a small error.
He's clarified his #Einstein remark by adding that what he meant to say was that "Maths helped #Einstein discover gravity, because he had a open mind & ability to think big"

Since we’re making up science,a look at Einstein’s (made up) theory of relativity: State of economy is proportional to how much a Mantri relies on Math & knows about Science@PiyushGoyal thanks to your govt our economy is crashing. I guess you could say it’s a GRAVITATIONAL pull https://t.co/RcWglID3So

Done with the Einstein Newton jokes? Now listen to what Piyush Goyal ji actually said!

1. Einstein didn't discover gravity.
2. Newton did.
3. Gravity was discovered based on Mathematical work of laws of motion, not falling apple. pic.twitter.com/9Ydsw8FE2W

Rare picture of Albert Einstein when he discovered gravity.
*#PiyushGoyal knows maths and gravity* pic.twitter.com/r9jYT0CKHA— ???? ????? (@karmariaz) September 12, 2019
Yes, Mr. Minister. Einstein did not need maths to discover gravity since Newton already had. Now wait for HRD Minister to say that long before Newton our ancients knew all about gravity (or has he already?)
With such ministers, only God can #FixTheEconomy pic.twitter.com/Zcpj2jOjP8

Einstein discovered gravity (that too without Maths) and Newton saw him do it and stole his idea. pic.twitter.com/4op1W6Ah8A

"Don't get into the maths, maths didn't help Einstein discover gravity"
~ @PiyushGoyal ~Apart from giving Newton, a few things to ponder over, @nsitharaman has competition & a apple just fell over the nation's head.
Worry not, we're in safe hands. pic.twitter.com/cCufgRRcGQ— thakursahab (@65thakursahab) September 12, 2019
If Einstein discovered gravity, what did Newton do? ??????
— aparna (@FuschiaScribe) September 12, 2019
Stop mocking @PiyushGoyal ! It's a well known fact that maths didn't help Einstein to discover gravity. He discovered it when he saw Ola charges coming down after a surge.

Actually Maths did not help Einstein discover gravity, because, well, he didn't discover gravity. So what #piyushgoyal said is technically correct. ?

Brilliant! Maths didn’t help Einstein discover gravity….because he didn’t. Newton did. And obeying gravity, the economy is free falling pic.twitter.com/u1HAFICXS4

Math never helped Einstein discover Gravity – Mr. Goyal (Railways Minister)
Newton might consider to throw rotten apples at him. #Einstein #Newton #PiyushGoyal— Bhanu (@Bhanu72065158) September 12, 2019
Meanwhile #Einstein is turning in his grave.
It requires real strength to admit shortcomings – something the current ruling dispensation lacks. To put the issue into correct perspective, it is the "country's economy" that's a cause of concern..— Supriya Sehgal (@SupriyaSehgal_3) September 12, 2019
