Akshay Kumar Is Said To Play NSA Ajit Doval In New Film With Baby Director Neeraj Pandey

Akshay Kumar, a flag bearer of the patriotic films is all set to play another career based movie. The ‘Bollywood Khiladi’ will play a lead role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security advisor Ajit Doval in his upcoming movie. The report suggests, the 51-year-old will collaborate with Neeraj Pandey for 5th time, who will be directing the untitled next. The duo had previously worked in films like Special-26, Baby, Rustom, and Toilet Ek Prem Khatha.

According to the sources, the film will be based on the career highlights of Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister. The scripting and the storylining are underway and it could take some time to go on floors as the duo is busy with their commitments, but for now, we have to wait for the team’s official announcement when all the proceedings are done and settled.

Akshay Kumar is currently busy promoting his another patriotic movie ‘Mission Mangal’. The film also stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menon and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles. And another side, Neeraj Pandey is working on a film named ‘Chanakya’ with Ajay Devgn. “Neeraj will first make Chanakya with Ajay Devgn, which was announced a few months ago. Akshay also has to complete prior commitments. The team wants to lock the script before making an official announcement,” sources said.

Can it be another Bollywood blockbuster?

Earlier it was told that both the actor and director had a rift between each other for their belonging film. It was Neeraj’s  Aiyaary, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee, against Akshay’s Pad Man at the box office during the Republic Day weekend last year. Since then the collaboration is seen as a positive development between both. Hence we could expect a yet another Bollywood blockbuster movie from Akshay Kumar who is one of the most sought actors of the present times.

Ajit Dovel began his career as IPS officer in Kerala 1968 batch. Interestingly, he has experience of being involved in the termination of all 15 hijackings of Indian Airlines aircraft from 1971–1999. After his retirement, in 2005 he was announced as a director of Indian Intelligence Bureau. He was also a member of 2016 surgical strike operation and Balakot surgical strike operation. Ajit Doval has also been a recipient of Kirti Chakra, which is one of the highest military gallantry awards.

It is not the first time Ajit Doval’s character is being played in the silver screen. Previously, in 2018, the film Uri: The Surgical Strike, starring Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal played the role of Govind Bhardwaj, which depicted Ajit Doval’s role in the strike.
