Former union minister and Goa chief Minister Mr.Manohar Parrikar took his last breath in Panaji on March 17, 2019. He passed away this evening after having fought a long battle with cancer. Mr.Parrikar was suffering from pancreatic cancer and had been taken to hospitals in Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, and New York since February. Since his return from New York, he was seen wearing medical paraphernalia, a nasogastric tube.
National Mourning on March 18th
According to ANI, the center has decided and announced national mourning on March 18. The state funeral will be accorded to him with National flag flying at half-mast in the National Capital, capitals of states, & UTs. Also, condolence meet for Manohar Parriker is scheduled to be held in the union cabinet at 11 am, Monday (March 18).

Mr.Parrikar was seen as the most honest and eminent politician known for his simplicity and state-of-the-art administrative skills. The demise of former Defence minister has put the country in grief. People took it to twitter and social media to express their words of tribute to late Manohar Parrikar.
