By now, most of you might have watched Chapter 1 of KGF and have lost your hearts for its story and the very way it is made. There was a huge expectation set for the movie prior to its release. Without a second thought, KGF has met all the hype and the craze; a step more in fact. Its been 3 days and the movie has become the talk of the nation if we are not exaggerating. So, how is KGF doing on Box-office? Here is everything you need to know about KGF collection and the details of it.
KGF Collection Day 1:
Yash starrer KGF, an 80 crore flick from Sandalwood has managed to perform well on the first day. As expected, owing to its early reviews, the movie showed the signs of becoming a huge hit. It got released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam across the country giving a PAN India exposure to a Kannada film.
According to the reports posted by BoxOfficeIndia.com, Prashanth Neel’s movie has managed to collect 18 crores approximately on all formats on its opening day. The Hindi version settled down for 2 crores while the highest collection happened in Karnataka; a total of 12.50 crore.
The Approximate first-day numbers are as follows:
Karnataka – 12.5 Cr.
Hindi Markets – 2 Cr.
Telugu – 2 Cr.
Tamil – 1 Cr.
Malayalam – 50 Lakh.
KGF Collection Day 2:
After registering an impressive 18 crore on Day 1, KGF continued the trend on Day 2 as well. It raked in a total of 19.25 Crore to make a total of Rs.37.21 crore by the end of Day 2.
The Hindi version of KGF saw an uptrend in Box-office game bagging a total of Rs.3 crore. As per the film experts, word of mouth worked wonders for KGF. Despite competition from movies like Zero (Hindi), Seethakatti, and Maari 2 (Tamil), KGF received an upper-hand response at the Box-Office.
The Approximate second-day numbers are as follows:
Karnataka – 12.0 Cr.
Hindi Markets – 3 Cr.
Telugu – 2.5 Cr.
Tamil – 1.25 Cr.
Malayalam – 50 Lakh.

KGF Collection Day 3:
On Sunday, it was no different. The movie bagged a total of Rs. 22.40 Crore on its third day. A leap and an upward trend in its earnings suggest that the movie might continue its magic during the weekdays as well.
On Day 3, the Hindi version of KGF alone earned Rs.4.1 crore showing a leap in the Hindi Box-office. So, the total earning of the movie now counts to Rs.59.70 Crore.
So, in total:
1st Day: 18.10 Crore | All Languages
Day 2: 19.25 Crore | All Languages
Day 3: 22.40 Crore | All Languages
Total net (Domestic) – 59.70 Crore | All Languages in 3 days.
KGF – A Monster Hit
December 21, 2018, was a Big Day for Indian Cinema as 3-4 Big star movies have hit the screens. KGF, coming from an industry with no much PAN India exposure was all set for a Big Game. On the other hand, owing to its mind-blowing trailer, invariably it got into a competition with Zero.
As expected or to a surprise, KGF has left everyone in awe. It has become a Monster hit surpassing Shah Ruk Khan’s Zero in India. Though Zero has crossed a 100 mark worldwide in three days, it is still below the mark in India with 59.07 Crore.

KGF at the USA Box-Office
It is not just in India, KGF is doing amazingly well at the USA Box-office too. According to a report shared by Ramesh Bala, an entertainment industry tracker, KGF has earned $300K at the USA Box-office to become the first Kannada movie to achieve this feat.
