Every time I listen to the people sharing their experience about New York or whenever I relish my memories of New York, I go enigmatic thinking about the reason behind the city being so beautiful and connected. So, if you are planning to visit New York or wish to explore the unknown side of the city then here I’m with the list of awesome things to do in New York. Come, let’s go nuts and hit the kooky side of this alluring place called New York.
New York is one place on the globe which will make you fall in love with it at your first sight. The city has much more for you and the list of things to do here has no tail and the end. Every street of New York has a story to tell and an experience to share. If you just stand alone and embrace the city as it is then I’m sure that New York will become one in you.
Awesome Things to do in New York
The Empire State Building is open for you till 2 AM
As the sun sets, NewYork will open up to different colors and nature becomes so scenic that it will spend bound your nerves. What else could be more implausible than seeking a beautiful romantic view of the city lights and the moonlight? Yes, walk or ride to the Empire State Building to luxuriate the glory of NewYork nights. Make a wish and blow it out at 2 AM and do not forget to visit the Art Deco Building.
Parisian Coney Island
A must visit place of NewYork, Coney Island has everything to explore the adventurous side of yours. Ride the cyclone, a wooden roller coaster and take in all the sights. The ride’s top speed is 60 miles per hour. The Island also has a Coney Islan Freak show which you shouldn’t miss and also a Wonder Wheel.
China Town
Wanna do shopping? Wish to taste some delicious chinese food? Then China town is for you. It is charming and a very engaging place where you can dine in the chinese reataurants and shop the chinese handicrafts, chinese herbs and unique artistic items. Located in the lower portion of Manhattan, China town has all the ethnic delights for you.
Corona Park, Riverside Park, Central Park, and more
Corona park is an 898-acre park which has a historical and the recreational significance to it. It has a beautiful ambiance to relax and to know the history of NewYork at a quick glance.
If you go to the Upper west side of the city then I recommend Riverside park for you which has Hudson river to the west. The river is very close to the park and the scene out there is just amazing and beautiful.
Central park is a known and most visited place of New York but what I admire about the central park is the reservoir and the run around it.
Times Square for some good time
If it is said that New York is the city never sleeps then Times Square is the reason. The street is a pleasure to walk in with electronic billboards, Broadways theaters, cinemas, shops, eateries, and the amazing crowd. If you are photo freak and Instagram lover then this place can give you the best clicks of your life.
Ellis Islan and the Statue of Liberty
Ahhh! How could I miss the gorgeous of New York, ‘The Statue of Liberty’? I may have to dedicate my 2000 words to describe the beauty of this sculpture. Let me keep it short and brief. The statue was designed by a French Sculptor, Fredric-Auguste Bartholdi. It is said that the face of this statue was modeled after his mother’s and the body after a prostitute.
Ellin Island is surrounded by landmarks like the Statue Of Liberty, The and Empire State building. Today, the island is a part of Statue of Liberty National monument and is an immigration museum.
Bronx Zoo
Bronx Zoo introduces you to the wild life and the best animal collections of the world. It is located in Bronx, a borough of New York city which is the largest metropolitan zoo in the US. It also houses the award winning exhibitions with nearly 1.25 million visitors a day. One of the mind blowing places of New York, nevertheless to say, a must visit place.
Dark Alley and an Era Bar
If you want to have a vintage experience of New York then duck down a dark valley. Savor the backroom beverages served in tea cups, look for the ‘toy company sign’ and unlock the secret doors, bookshelf and more.
Brooklyn Bridge and a Pizza
Go on the Brooklyn bridge with a slice of Pizza from Grimaldi’s and enjoy the night view like a boss. The places looks gorgeous during sunset or sunrise with a fantastic skyline. If you wish to have a waterfront access and take a boat tour then go to Gowanus Dredgers Canoe club. Located in the Brooklyn, they provide paddling on the strand of Long Island City, Red Hook, and Staten Island.
Broadway shows and country music
Broadways shows are one of the show stoppers of New York that will give you an experience of NewYork’s art, theater and the country music. Do not miss ‘ Sleep no more’ and ‘Queen of the night’.
Slipper room, the oldest burlesque and vaudeville house of NY
A power house for musicians, magicians, aerialists, comedians, and fire performers. This place is full of life and madness. When you go to slipper room take a selfie in the gutter outfront and it is a tradition there.
Inwood Hill Park for Indian Caves
Inwood hill is a mysterious place to explore the urban wilderness. Here, you will find some Indian sculptures and a tranquil forest with a great view of the Hudson. A great place to wander around in an acquaintance with red oaks, tulips, and maples.
