‘You Gave Me Goosebumps Rishab Shetty’- Tamil Actor Rajinikanth

Kannada film ‘Kantara’ is winning hearts worldwide, ever since it first hit the screens earlier this month. This time, the movie has earned a new fan – Tamil superstar Rajinikanth.

Rajinikanth Praises Kantara

South superstar Rajinikanth is the most recent celebrity to say how much they enjoyed Kantara, the most recent box-office sensation. In addition to playing the principal role, Rishab Shetty also wrote and directed the movie. After a week of its initial Kannada release, the Kannada movie was dubbed into regional languages. Rajinikanth calls the film a “masterpiece.”

The 2.0 actor posted a tweet to send his best wishes to the entire team. The 71-year-old said that the movie gave him ‘goosebumps’. He wrote on the micro-blogging platform, “The unknown is more than the known” – no one could have said this better in cinema than ‘Kantara’, produced by Hombale Films. You gave me goosebumps Rishab, hats off to you as a writer, director, and actor. Congrats to the whole cast and crew of this masterpiece in Indian cinema.”

Kantara Box Office

Meanwhile, Rishab Shetty’s film is continuing to break box office records even almost a month after its release. Over the course of the Diwali holidays, the Kannada film crossed the Rs 200-crore barrier in terms of gross worldwide collections. It has now become the third Kannada film ever to do so.

This figure is now only behind KGF: Chapter 2 ( Rs 1207 crore) and KGF: Chapter 1 ( Rs 250 crore) in the list of highest-grossing Kannada films of all time. What’s noteworthy is that Kantara is still doing well at the box office. On October 23, its 25th day, it earned over Rs 8 crore nett across India in all languages. Going by this, it may just move past KGF 1 into second place by the end of its run.
