The passengers will undergo thermal screening while boarding. The airport has also established contact-less dining options and constant sanitization of the premises. With this, the authorities hope that the passengers will experience a safe and sound journey once the lockdown is lifted.

Revamped Measures

The social distancing will be implemented effectively with markings, signages, and the rearrangement of the seats. The BIAL staff have also been trained to keep a thorough check on the matter. Apart from the passengers, the employees and the staff of the airport will also undergo thermal screening. Hand sanitizers will be placed in 500 locations inside the premises and electronic display boards will be used to remind the passengers about the measures.

In order to avoid queues, the passengers will be given an option to go for online check-in and carry a printout of the boarding pass. The boarding pass can even be printed at the departure gates or inside the terminus. Face masks will be mandatory for both passengers and staff. It will be mandatory to download the Aarogya Setu application before entering the airport.
