“We don’t care for ‘Boycott Threats’ anymore”: Karan Johar thinks SRK killed all such ‘Fears’ like a BOSS

Shah Rukh Khan-led Pathaan hit the theaters on January 25 and it has been breaking many box office records since then. Filmmaker Karan Johar is among many who have learned a lesson or two about how many bad opinions about the Hindi film industry are wrong.

Karan Johar on Bollywood Trolls

Pathaan has left Karan Johar and many other filmgoers surprised with the Box Office performance. The spy thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan has caught the country by storm and is doing well in the ticket windows. Karan Johar has written yet another comment about Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film, Pathaan.

The filmmaker took to Instagram Stories and thanked everyone who teamed up on the film. He expressed his views on his Instagram Stories, “Nothing matters more than a great film. The mega blockbuster success proves that excessive promotions, fear of trolling, boycott threats, just about all the myths that we as an industry propagate or believe in is redundant when a film like PATHAAN kills all of it!!!! Old school conviction and a kick ass trailer is what we all need! So thrilled for you Adi, Sid, bhai, bhaijaan, John, DP!!!! Rooting for you till we reach that magic number.”

The success of Pathaan

The 50-year-old also praised the music composer team Vishal-Sheykhar for the success of Pathaan songs like ‘Besharam Rang’ and ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’. Sharing a picture of the duo, Karan wrote, “Special shout out to my buddies Vishal Dadlani Shekhar Ravjiani for the blockbuster soundtrack of Pathaan! May the force of melody always be with you.”

Yash Raj Film’s Pathaan has already broken records with its opening of Rs 57 crore, which is the highest single day in India and has now the highest opening weekend as well. And now, according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Pathaan’s worldwide gross collection will be in the range of Rs 550 crore after Sunday’s collections. “#Pathaan 5 days WW Gross expected to be in the range of ₹ 550 Crs..” he tweeted on Monday morning.

Pathaan is part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and has the biggest superstars of the country Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in it. YRF’s adrenaline-pumping film, Pathaan, was released on January 25, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
