The Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is the only Indian to be included in the Instagram sports ‘rich list’ in 2019. He is also the only cricketer to find a place on this list. Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo has topped the list for the second time in a row published by HopperHQ.com.
Kohli Takes Rs.1.35 Crore Per Post
The data on the site says that Virat Kohli charges Rs.1.35 crore ($196,000) for every post he makes on Instagram which is a picture-sharing social media platform. At present the Indian captain who led the team into the semifinal of the ICC World Cup 2019 has more than 36 million followers on Instagram.
Ronaldo tops the list with 173 million followers on Instagram and charges a huge sum of Rs.6.7 crore per post followed by Brazil footballer Neymar who charges Rs. 5 crore per post. Captain of Argentina’s football team, Lionel Messi is third on the list and earns Rs.4.5 crore per post on Instagram.
Kohli Ranked No.23 On Instagram Rich List 2019
At present Virat Kohli is ranked on the 9th spot on the sports rich list and on 23rd spot on the Instagram Rich List 2019. This list is topped by Kylie Jenner and also includes Indian actor Priyanka Chopra who is ranked at the 19th spot and earns Rs.1.87 crore per Instagram post.
Kohli is ahead of big names in international sports that includes likes of UFC great Conor McGregor, Barcelona forward Luis Suarez, boxing great Floyd Mayweather, and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah. The most followed cricketer in the world is also the only cricketer to make it to the list of world’s highest-paid athletes for the 2019 list by Forbes.
The Forbes 2019 list says that Virat Kohli earns around $21m from endorsements and $4m from winnings and salary which takes his tally to $25 million in 12 months.
The husband of Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma is currently ranked no.1 on the ICC rankings for Test and ODI batsmen and will lead India when the team will tour West Indies in August.
