Virat Kohli Droped Down To The 100th Ranking In The Forbes List, Footballers Dominate!

One of the greatest batsmen in the modern era has now descended his place in the Forbes 2019 list of world’s highest-paid athletes. Virat Kohli, who is known for his dazzling batting skills in the cricket ground is now doped down to 100th ranking in the list.

Kohli loses his spot and makes to 100th ranking

According to the Forbes list, Kohli estimated earnings is $21m from endorsements, $4m from salary and winnings, taking his total tally to $25m for the last 12 months. He is the only Indian present in the Forbes list of world’s highest-paid athletes. However, the Indian captain has now been dropped 17 spots to be 100th in the rankings.

A Footballers Dominance

In the meantime, Lionel Messi has topped the chart beating his all-time rival Christiano Ronaldo. With $92m from salary and winning and an additional $35m from endorsements, that makes total earnings of $127m. Ronaldo on the other side has total estimated earnings of $109m over the last 12 months with $65m coming from salary and winning $44m coming from endorsement.

Right below them falls the Brazilian footballer Nemmar who has made it to the 3rd spot with estimated earnings of $105m over the last 12 months. Interestingly, it is the first time since 1990, the footballers have clinched the top 3 spots in the Forbes rankings.

The only Woman in the Forbes rankings

The legendary women’s singles tennis player, Sarena Williams is the only woman in the list earning the 63rd spot. Surprisingly, in the previous year in Forbes 2018, there were no women making it to the top 100. Sarena, after making a come back from a long break is told to have estimated earnings of $29m over the last 12 months.
