After the entertainment company Book My Show listed an event of writer Hussain Haidry, a large chunk of Twitterati is asking to Boycott Book My Show for encouraging and supporting an alleged ‘hate monger.’

Hussain Haidry, a Hindi spoken word poet who became famous for his poem ‘Hindustani Musalmaan’ had recently received flak for his hatred against Hindus. Often seen as a vocal critic of the BJP government and Islamaphobia, Hussain Haidry has been under the lens of Hindu Nationalist. The Hindu section of Twitter has repeatedly called him out for his hate against the Hindus while he has too repeatedly clarified that he is only against the ‘Hindutva’ narrative.

Book My Show has recently begun an online festival called ‘Live from HQ’ where a list of artists perform their art, from their homes and is streaming live on Instagram. The Hussain Haidry event took place yesterday.

Hussain Haidry also has written the script of the much-awaited film ‘Takth’ directed by Karan Johar.
