What was special about PM Modi speech was his blunt voice for #SanitaryNapkins. This is a clear cut way how leaders can make a paradigm shift to break the taboos, framing ethos and which, in turn, can bring massive societal change on the issue of menstrual health of womens.

PM @narendramodi talking about #SanitaryNapkins from the red fort on #IndependenceDay2020 is an example of how leaders can use the national forum to break the taboos, set new norms & bring about an attitudinal shift in how the society perceives periods, pads and menstrual health!

Heartwarming to hear #ModiJi speaking about the need & relevance of #SanitaryNapkins from the #RedFort. The first Indian PM to do so. If also, he could be the first PM to abolish the 12% tax levied on sanitary napkins. #RedFort #ModiHaiTohMumkinHai #Padman #SwachhBharat
