Bengaluru has been ranked the world’s fastest-growing tech hub, but the city continues to struggle with basic infrastructure problems. We’ve put together a list of tweets highlighting the terrible infrastructure issues Bengalureans face on a daily basis.
Bengaluru infra Problem
Despite its global reputation as an IT industry hub, Bengaluru’s poor infrastructure has frequently been a source of contention. One of its manifestations is the city’s notorious traffic congestion, which can make travel times significantly longer, with potholes also being a widespread issue.
And it is no surprise that Bengaluru was ranked the second-most congested city in the world during 2022 in the city center (BBMP area) category, according to the traffic index published by Dutch location technology specialist TomTom.
Regardless of this, many Bengalureans have come to accept the city as it is. You have to admit that some of the issues sound ridiculous! That’s why we’ve put together a list of tweets highlighting the terrible infrastructure issues Bengalureans face on a daily basis. Take a look at this:
The traffic makes 5 Km feel like 50 Km.
Bengaluru was ranked the second most congested city in the world in 2022 in the city center (BBMP area) category. And no wonder there are memes and jokes about the situation.
As if we needed a report on this one! Every single day, and night too. #bangaloretraffic #Bangalore https://t.co/ozoGfkMF1m

Cab Fare = Flight Charges
How on earth can a cab ride cost Rs 4000? Cab services are typically quite expensive in major cities, but Bengaluru’s cab fairs are equal to Flight charges.

Waterlogging is a Life-Threatening
Recently, two people died after drowning in a flooded road and subway in the city after heavy rain. It’s actually dangerous to venture out into the city on such days.
