The mighty Indian cricket team is breaking records as it posed a thumping test victory against New Zealand in the second match of the series at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This also means the side has won the series 1-0 with the first Kanpur test being drawn with no victory for either side. India took just 43 minutes on Monday to pick the last five New Zealand wickets on Day 4 of the second Test in Mumbai and win the two-match series 1-0. It was a pool of records showering in the Mumbai test for both the sides with R Ashwin becoming the highest wicket taker in an India New Zealand series till date and New Zealand’s Ajaz Patel made a record of taking 14 wickets in a single test match and cleaned the Indian batsman with a complete 10 wickets in his bag during the first innings which made him the third person in the history to do so after Anil Kumble of India. It should also be noted that this victory also gave India its biggest ever win in test cricket against any team after they defeated New Zealand by a whooping margin of 372 runs.
India’s 14th Successive Test Series Win At Home
By virtue of the 372-run win, India registered their biggest win in Test cricket, third biggest win overall in Asia. Here are some of the reactions as twitter spread their happiness by trending the IndvsNZ hashtag.
Thumping win for India, New Zealand folding up in double quick time this morning. Draw was improbable considering time remaining in the match and pitch helping Indian spinners. Even so one expected a more determined performance from the no.1 ranked side

Fantastic win for India. New Zealand played fabulously to save the first test match but India were just too good in Mumbai. Feel happy for Jayant Yadav who has waited for long for a comeback and Mayank Agarwal showed his class where most other batsmen struggled . #INDvNZ pic.twitter.com/ZKpqZgofHp

Resounding win for India in their own backyard, comprehensively outclassed New Zealand on a track with turn and bounce. Complete all-round effort with Mayank and Ashwin leading the way, one does feel for history-maker Ajaz. #INDvNZ pic.twitter.com/FFeRu6ZPUC

India soldiers on with a win by 372 runs. Another 4 fer the modern great @ashwinravi99 proves that if he keeps going for another few years, he may be a threat to the elusive Muttiah Muralitharan as the GOAT.
