Back-to-back blockbusters from South Indian Cinema are leaving the Hindi filmmakers behind in the race of story, cinematography, entertainment, and achieving Housefull shows. But what are the mistakes Bollywood is making? This is what a Youtube channel tries to explain with the help of a Heropanti 2 spoof.
Bollywood’s content
Bollywood which usually makes over 60% of box office revenue for theatre owners in north India, has seen its share decline to an all-time low of 10% in the past few months. The dismal performance of films like Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Bachchhan Paandey, Attack, Heropanti 2, Samrat Prithviraj, Shamshera, and others, has led to this decline in revenue from Hindi films.
Social media is flooded with statements like Bollywood is over, Bollywood has lost its charm, and South has taken over North among many more. The statements are a result of the constant box office failure of Hindi films in the last few months with Gangubai and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 being an exception.
Why Hindi Films are failing
The film flopping left-right, and center is a result of the content that’s just not exciting enough for the viewers. Heropanti 2 is a great example to explain the situation. The film totally lacks logic and approach, the music was pretty average, the dialogues are horrible and forget about the screenplay of the film. They have even shown Vidhanasoudha as CBI Headquarters.
A YouTube channel has made a spoof video on Heropanti 2 and has explained why such contents from Bollywood tanks at the Box Office. Watch below:
This is going to be the darkest year for Bollywood, and the future also looks gloomy unless Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha or Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra turn the tide for Bollywood.
