Anand Mahindra shared a video of a waiter carrying 16 plates of dosas in one hand at once. The industrialist was largely impressed with the waiter’s productivity skills.
Olympic gold medal contender
Industrial Anand Mahindra has discovered an Olympic gold medal contender in a famous Bengaluru restaurant. This person is a server carrying nearly 20 plates of dosas fresh off the pan. The Mahindra Group chairman shared a video from the kitchen of Vidyarthi Bhavan, a restaurant that has played host to the likes of Starbucks founder Zev Siegl.
In a viral video shared by Anand Mahindra, a waiter can be seen passing steel plates to the chef who was placing hot dosas on them, fresh off the pan. He carefully placed the plates and balanced them in just one hand.
Nevertheless, the waiter did not stop at two or three plates and literally carried 16 plates in one hand. In the over 2-minute clip, he can be seen serving the hot dosas to starving customers later.
We need to get ‘Waiter Productivity’ recognized as an Olympic sport. This gentleman would be a contender for Gold in that event,” Mahindra captioned the post.

Absolutely , the process and efficiency of any chai tapri or udipi in India also beats any coffee shop around the world including Starbucks. We will win both the short (quickest transaction ~ 15 s including qr payment) and long of this sport (cups served /min ~ 20-30 cups )

Instead of one person carrying so many plates, it is always efficient and faster if 2 or 3 person carry and deliver at the same time because any way another person guiding him in empty hand so he could have helped him

Thank you so much sir, for sharing video from Youtube Channel "Aamchi Mumbai" and recognizing the hard work of the waiter! It's amazing to see such dedication and skills in the hospitality industry. Let's hope that "Waiter Productivity" becomes an Olympic sport soon!

One of the best doses that you can get. The waiters should get many gold medals. The customers should also get gold medals for the patience that they show in serpentine queues waiting for a Dose. For folks who suspect the hygiene, the plates are clean. I’ve eaten here many times.
