1. Karwar Beach

2. Warship Museum

Located at a distance of 1 km from the city center in Karwar, INS Chapal Warship Museum is situated in Rabindranath Tagore beach. INS Chapal is a missile warship and was used in the 1971 Indo – Pak war. Therefore, the ship was converted into a museum in 2006 to display sea-artifacts, a video of the ship being converted into this museum among other collectibles.

3. Devkar Falls

Devakar Waterfalls is situated in a small island called Devakar which is surrounded by the Kadra Dam backwaters. The height of waterfalls is about 300 feet and the water of the falls reach Kaiga reservoir. While falling, it glows like a Diamond, so locally this falls is called as Vajramala falls. It is at a distance of 80 km from Karwar. However, this fall is visible from Devakar village and is one of the best places to visit in Karwar.

4. Kurumgad Island

At a distance of 4 km off the coast of Karwar, Kurumgad or Koormagad Island is a tortoise-shaped island in the Arabia Sea and is adjacent to Devbagh. Hence, this tortoise-shaped island is now privately owned and belongs to a Coffee Planter Suresh Mathias.

5. Sadashivgad Fort

This fort is built atop a hill on the north bank of the Kali river, hence giving a beautiful view of the setting sun. Indeed, it is mostly in ruins, having been pulled apart by the British, after multiple changes of hands. The view from the top of the fort is amazing and it gives us a clear view of the sea and Kali river. The tourism department has a hotel inside the fort but not sure if it is operational. This is one of the few places which you can visit in Karwar.

6. Oyster Rock Lighthouse

At a distance of 11 km from Karwar Bus Stand, Oyster Rock Lighthouse, also known as Devgad Island Lighthouse, is a lighthouse situated on Oyster Rock in Devgad Island. Besides, Oyster Rocks are a group of small islands and rocks. The Lighthouse was constructed by the British during 1860 CE and was commissioned into service on 25th March 1864 CE.

7. Ulavi Caves

Ulavi Caves are a bunch of caves in the Uttara Karnataka District of Karnataka. They offer a continuous circuit of trekking trails that allows you to explore gloriously dark rock caverns in a single day. While walking down from the hill, it passes through a Chilume Honda which has a natural freshwater spring. People believe that it has special properties and cure certain health problems. Eventually, to go inside the cave only one can pass in a Narrow hole.

8. Karwar Aquarium

Karwar Aquarium is famous for housing quite a variety of colorful fishes and a giant skeleton of a blue whale. A visit to the attraction is an interesting way to get a glimpse into the habitats of marine creatures created in glass aquariums. 9. Anashi Waterfall
