Many of his acquaintances and a few celebrities have said that they saw this coming. Even director Mukesh Bhatt said that he “saw it coming”. As now most of the stars are posting comments about how they feel sorry and wish they could have been there for him when he needed support.

Sushant Singh was taking treatment for depression. If reports are to be believed, he had a fallout with Aditya Chopra, which whom he had signed a multi-million deal. It is said that he felt sidelined, and hence, he walked away from a rather lucrative contract after doing only two films Shuddh Desi Romance and Detective Byomkesh Bakshi.  He also also upset after YRF backed out of Shekhar Kapur’s Paani, his ambitious project on which he worked for months.

Dibakar Banerjee, who worked with the “vulnerable and intense” Sushant in Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, said that he admired the fact that Rajput was “trying to make it on his own in a world structured around nepotism, cronyism and camps”.

“This is what led me to cast Sushant as a vulnerable, inexperienced and intense Byomkesh out on his first case where everyone else dismissed him as a rookie,” he told Indian Express.

“It’s no secret Sushant was going through very tough times for the last few years. No one in the industry stood up for him nor did they lend a helping hand. To post about him today is the biggest display of how shallow the industry really is. No one here is your friend. RIP,” Celebrity stylist Sapna Bhavnani wrote on Twitter.
