Group Captain Singh was being treated at a Bengaluru military hospital after he was moved from Wellington in Tamil Nadu’s Coonoor. He had been on life support, according to officials. His father, Colonel KP Singh (retired), who is a resident of Bhopal, had told PTI on December 9 that Group Captain Singh was being shifted to Bengaluru from the Army hospital at Wellington in Tamil Nadu.
Group Captain Singh was a decorated air warrior. He was conferred with the Shaurya Chakra in August for averting a possible mid-air accident after his Tejas light combat aircraft was hit by a major technical snag last year. May the brave soul rest in peace.
