The Taliban Sharia Traditions

During the time it ruled Afghanistan, the extremist outfit forced women to conceal themselves from head to toe, barred them from working outside their houses, struck down girls’ education, and made it a law for women to be accompanied by a male relative every time they left home.

One of the activist from Maiana,Afghanistan reported;“I’m worried that women could return to the dark days of the past when we were just housewives and banned from taking part in society, culture, politics, and even sport. When Taliban takes total control these things are bound to happen in no time”.

Afghanistan elders say the Taliban will take away their daughters and forcefully marry them and turn them into slaves. “Since the Taliban took over, we feel depressed. At home, we can’t speak loudly, can’t listen to music and can’t send women to the market. Clearly Afghans are in a state of intense distress with no one to help wandering in the heart of Middle East for help!
