These days crimes are being reported in a large scale and that too in many Weird ways. Earlier it were the food delivery boys who were toiled and threatened by the customers over late delivery, but this incident in Noida is exactly opposite to what actually happens. A delivery agent working for food delivery platform Swiggy is accused of shooting and killing the owner of a restaurant in Greater Noida for allegedly delaying part of an order.
This Time Its The Restaurant Owner
Swiggy delivery boy allegedly shot dead a restaurant owner in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida on Wednesday. According to reports, the delivery boy opened fire at the restaurant owner following a tiff over a delay in the order that he was supposed to pick up.
The police said that the deceased Sunil ran an online food delivery outlet at a housing society in Greater Noida. At about 12:15 am on Wednesday, a Swiggy delivery boy reached the outlet to collect the order. He was told that the food items ordered are being prepared and it will take some time.
How Did The Tussle Began ?
The delivery guy waited for a few minutes to receive his order. Soon he got angry following which there was a heated argument between him and workers of the food outlet. When Sunil tried to intervene, the delivery boy suddenly pulled out a gun and fired at the owner and fled from the spot.
Sunil was rushed to Yatharth Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The police has taken over the incident and are checking the CCTV footages, and a case has been registered against the delivery boy.
This news comes amid the ongoing disparity over a Zomato advertisement and frequent accusations laid over delivery boys for being late. But this time the restaurant owner had to pay the price for not delivering on time.
