Shark Tank India: Sippline Founder Storms Back At Ashneer Grover With Statistics

Ashneer Grover mocked at Rohit Warrier’s Sippline drinking shield as a ‘Wahiyat product’ during the show where he had come to raise a fund of Rs.75 lakhs for 15% equity.

A Mockery

During one of the episodes, Rohit Warrier, founder of Sippline drinking shield had come to raise a fund costing Rs.75 lakhs for 15% equity in his company. The judges (Sharks) made a literal mockery of him and his product. Ashneer Grover, ex Co-founder of Bharatpe called the product ‘wahiyat’ while his fellow shark Aman Gupta, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of boAt, laughed.


Grover then asked Warrier if he was joking about the product or even if he drink alot. He further stated,”Yeh jo product hai naa, issee wahiyat product maine zindagi mein naa dekha hai, naa main dekhna chahta hun. Mere ko Bhagwan utha le! Itna ganda product hai yeh.

Facing continuous criticism from sharks about the name of the company to its logo and the product, Rohit Warrier kept his cool and replied very politely.

A Roasted Comeback

The Shark Tank India pitcher sets a comeback by roasting Ashneer Grover and Aman Gupta. In a viral video on Youtube Shorts, he mocks the two sharks by asking ‘wahiyat’ question and slyly takes a dig at Aman Gupta’s boAt brand.


He says, “yeh made in China stamped in India nahi hai, ye Bose ka QC 30 hai,”. He went on to say that he admires Bose, where he began his career and learned the value of the invention.

He further adds, “Mai Bose ka bahut bada fan hun. Maine apna career Bose se hi shuru kia tha. Innovation ka importance maine bose se seekha,”.

He also adds that his spectacle is from LensKart. He was attempting to poke fun at Aman and Ashneer.
