Shamshera Scenes Inspired By South Films? Here’s What Netizens Have To Say

Directed by Karan Malhotra, Shamshera is all set to release in theatres on 22 July. Impressive VFX and the unique storyline have created a buzz among movie lovers. Twitter however feels that Bollywood’s attempt is to produce work on the caliber of Baahubali and KGF.

Shamshera inspired from South?

SS Rajamouli and other popular South films have clearly made an impact on this generation of filmmakers and the same is clear from the trailer of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Shamshera.

Bollywood has already made famous historical dramas like Lagaan and Jodha Akbar, but they seem incapable to handle the South film craze that swept the industry months ago. Large-scale visual effects stories were attempted by companies like Yash Raj Films during that time. However, the majority of them only turned out to be average movies.

YRF is currently readying to try their luck once more with the movie “Shamshera,” which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The movie tells the story of a tribe set against a historical backdrop and the burglar who becomes a legend in order to save his people.

While the trailer of the movie was unleashed, many are seeing this project as Bollywood’s another try at Baahubali and KGF level work, and everyone is hoping that it works, at least due to the Ranbir Kapoor factor.
