Salaar, a no-nonsense film
Salaar is undoubtedly one of this year’s most highly anticipated films. It will mark Prabhas and KGF fame director Prashanth Neel’s first collaboration. Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan will be seen playing the female lead in the forthcoming movie. After a gap of three years, she is back on track. Talking about her experience, Shruti mentioned that Salaar is one of the “nicest no-nonsense films” she has been a part of.
Speaking to Cinema Express, Shruti Haasan opened up about Salaar, which has already gone on floors. She told the website, “Salaar is genuinely one of the nicest, no-nonsense, good-energy films I have been part of. I am so happy that one of my biggest projects is also one of my nicest experiences.”
Praising Prashanth Neel
Praising Prashanth Neel, the 36-year-old actress added, “He is really big on creating worlds that are immersive, persuasive, and timeless at the same time. His characters are also well-written, they all play a role in moving the story forward. He is extremely relaxed and progressive in the way he treats people and is very comfortable to work with.”
For the unversed, Shruti was on a break. During this off time from acting, she was busy with her stint as a singer in Europe. Soon after the actress decided to make a comeback, she was approached for multiple projects, including the latest Telugu-language release Waltair Veerayya. Besides Salaar, she also has an international project in her kitty, titled, The Eye. The Greek-British production is a dark psychological thriller, set in the 1980s.
