Sachin Tendulkar Suggests A New Rule To Decide Winner After A Super Over Is Resulted In A Tie

India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who was a special guest for ICC Cricket world cup 2019 finals, feels super over should not be decided by the number of boundaries in case of a tie. The little master was disappointed with the way the winner was decided when the two finalist teams tied. It was England who got to taste the victory after an epic battle for the ultimate trophy.

It was not only Sachin but few other people also had expressed their disappointment with ICC’s rule that decides the final with an unfair means to the Kiwis. Many crickets experts went onto share their ideas as what needs to be done in such cases. Similarly, Sachin also had his opinion regarding a super over tie decider. He feels that, if a team goes with a tie in a super over, then a second super over should be played to decide the winner, instead of considering the boundary count.


“I feel there should be another super over to decide the winner, instead of considering the number of boundaries scored by both teams. Not just in a World Cup final. Every game is important. Like in football, when teams go into extra time, nothing else matters,” said Tendulkar. Source
