It certainly is a big thing for pet lovers. Importantly, the animal lovers coming to the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for watching IPL 2019 matches will not have to pay extra as there are no tickets for this exclusive lounge.

Rather the pet owners stand a chance to win from a ‘selfie with your pet’ contest. According to reports, for each of the home matches the franchise will pick up selfies of 30 pet owners with their pet through its official team app. This year the pet lounge will be open exclusively for cats and dogs.

An official of RCB while talking to media said that the decision was made so that they can create an opportunity for the pet owners to watch the IPL 2019 matches along with their pets.

According to an RCB official, “We have created a zone exclusive for pet-parents to experience a match with their pets. Treats for pets will be available in the customized space. We will also have well-trained people to care for them.” The pets will be given an entry from Gate 21 which usually is not open for spectators.

Due to this exclusive entry, there will be no confusion among the pet-owners regarding where to take their pets. The entire facility has been devised in association with the host association, BCCI, and the Karnataka State Cricket Association. The official statement of RCB says that the franchise is very much keen to add pets to their family.

The statement says, ‘We care about all fans who are associated with the team. One such group of fans is pet parents and (pet) lovers. Pet is an extension of their families and we are RCB would like to make them very much a part of the RCB family. This year onwards, RCB is thrilled to invite pet lovers to watch home matches with their pets.”
