Actor Ranvir Shorey has come out and slammed the Bhatt family and a media house on Twitter. He revealed that the family had abused him through old police and media reports. He also said the ‘moguls’ have also targeted him for years.
Responding to an article that stated that Pooja Bhatt was in an abusive relationship with Ranvir Shorey, he said that the article is defamatory, malicious, and a PR campaign. He wrote on Twitter,
“These kind of articles are the result of the sustained defamatory & malicious PR campaign that these film moguls have targeted me with for years. None of the media will bother to fact check old police and media records that will show that it was I who was abused by them.”
Ranvir Reacts To Pictures Of Pooja And Manish
Long ago, actress and Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter, Pooja Bhatt was engaged to Ranvir Shorey. Ranvir Shorey was also best friend’s Pooja’s husband Manish Makhija. Pooja married Manish after she alleged that Ranvir was abusive. This was in the year 2003. Ranvir also responded to the images of Pooja and Manish and wrote,
“This guy in the photos used to be my best friend right up until after the incident, and then turned around and married her. All kinds of relationships are manipulated and psychological warfare used.”
Pooja and Manish separated in the year 2014 but are not legally separated yet. Ranvir Shorey also separated from his wife, actress, and filmmaker, Konkona Sen Sharma. The couple parted ways a few years ago. On the work front, Pooja Bhatt’s Sadak 2 released on the streaming platform a few days back. It not only was rejected by the fans but also by the critics. The film opened to dismal numbers by becoming the lowest-rated film on the website IMDB with 1-star average rating.
