The chairperson of the Infosys Foundation, Sudha Murthy, who is also known for her simplicity, was found buying flowers and vegetables from the market in Bagalkot district, Karnataka.
A visit to the temple
Sudha Murthy, who is also a member of public health care initiatives of the Gates Foundation, went to Shurpali village in Karnataka to visit Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swami temple. After she finished her spiritual visit, the 69-year-old started buying vegetables from street vendors.
In between a huge crowd, Sudha Murthy went without expensive cars and no show-off business, she went on to enjoy the normal middle-class lifestyle, asking and bargaining with vendors.
When asked about her visit to a vegetable shop, she said that she is purchasing vegetables and flowers for her residence in Bengaluru.
In a viral image, Sudha Murthy is seen holding a cloth bag in her hand and wearing a simple cotton saree without showing off her luxurious status.
It is reported that Sudha Murthy has also gone to console victims and families of the recent Krishna river floods, affecting borders of Andhra and Karnataka.
