Earlier today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19. The BJP leader also revealed that he was getting admitted to a hospital.

As the news of Amit Shah testing positive for COVID-19 became official, the discussion shifted to other matters. India’s HM had been part of a cabinet meeting a couple of days ago, and there are reports that an extensive contact tracing has already started in the parliament.

That aside, many are now pulling out a tweet of PM Narendra Modi which was posted three days ago. In the tweet, PM Modi had shared a link with details related to NEP and there was also a picture of himself along with his ministers in a meeting. Seated to his left in the picture was Home Minister Amit Shah.

Will PM Modi attend the Ram Temple event?

On Wednesday, PM Modi was all set to lay the foundation stone for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. This was speculated to be one of the highlight moments in his tenure. However, with Amit Shah testing positive for COVID-19, doubts have started to arise whether PM Modi would be available for the event in the first place.

PM Modi will fall into the ‘primary contact’ category, and as per the norm, such individuals will have to quarantine themselves for 14 days. Hence, if Modi follows the procedure, he will have to miss out on the ceremony at Ayodhya. And the ceremony would likely remain without sheen if PM Modi does not attend it.
