As per the latest 2020 ‘World Leaders on Facebook’ rankings by leading global communications agency BCW( Burson Cohn & Wolfe), PM Narendra Modi is the most popular leader on Facebook while the United States President Donald Trump sits at the second position.
PM Modi has 45 million likes on his FB Page
PM Narendra has 45 million likes on his FB page, the highest for a leader in the entire world. While Donald Trump is second on the list with 27 million likes, Jordan’s Queen Rania is the third most popular world leader on Facebook with 16.8 million likes. Also, it needs to be noted that when it comes to interactions, Donald Trump stands at the top of the list.
Trump generates the highest interactions for a world leader
The same report has also given a list of world leaders arranged based on the interactions they generate on Facebook.
In the last twelve months, Donald Trump’s FB Page has had over 309 million comments, likes and shares, which is the highest for a world leader on the portal. Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro is at the second position with 205 million interactions while PM Modi sits at No.3 with 84 million interactions.
The report has also calculated the reach of these FB Pages. On an average, Modi reaches 1.7 million fans, while the Brazil and the US President reach 956000 and 877000 fans respectively. However, staggering as it is, PM Modi’s reach is just 3.8% of his total followers, while his counterparts from US & Brazil have done well based on the overall likes on their page.
Around 721 pages of world leaders have been taken for this study by the agency.
