Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country today at 10 am and announced the extension of the nationwide lockdown until the 3rd of May. The Prime Minister also acknowledged the sacrifices of the Indians during the lockdown.
India is on the rise in terms of the number of cases of the novel coronavirus and experts predict that the upcoming weeks are crucial. Prime Minister addressed the importance of this and extended the lockdown. He also spoke about relaxations on those regions that show the signs of containment until the 20th of April. The extended guidelines of the lockdown will be released officially tomorrow.

Yesterday Macron extended lockdown in France by one month to May 15. Italy extended it to May 3 and Spain to April 25. All 50 states in US continue to be under lockdown restrictions. UK has been under lockdown for 3 weeks n is expected to continue for 3 more weeks.
