Vinayaka Mylari Hotel – Vidyarthi Bhavan of Mysuru
The Vinayaka Myalri Hotel is so popular in the city that we can easily consider it as the Vidyarthi Bhavan of Mysuru. If there is any place recommended for an amazing Dose in the city of palaces then it has to be Mylari. But, there’s a catch! There are five hotels in Mysuru by the same name. So, which is the real one?
Well, there are two on the Nazarbad main road located in close proximity, both of them are original. It is said that the Mylari hotel was run by two brothers who in times split up. However, as long as the taste is the same, one should not mind visiting any of these two versions of Mylari.
Second to none place for Saagu Masala and Mini-Dose
The thick Dose with a mouth-watering texture coupled with Chutney will definitely make your day. When you are here, try Mini-Dose, Saagu Masala, Alu Masala, and just find your taste. If Dose from Mylari doesn’t melt in your mouth then think that your taste buds have lost their life.
Note: If you love Bengaluru style idlis then Idli is not recommended in Mylari.
Needless to say, it will be quite crowded, especially on Sundays. It is a tiny little place with nothing much to say about the ambiance. They have a limited seating but if you reach to the backside of the building then you have a room on the first floor.
So, when you are in Mysuru, make time for Mylari Hotel to relish the best of city’s local food.
