The secret lake at Thattekere
Thattekere is a hidden lake about 60 km from Bangalore. Probably the lake derives its name from its circular shape indicated by Thatte which means plate in Kannada. Thattekere has one big lake, a small temple of Mahadeeshwara, a few watchtowers nearby and lots of birds. Lake looks amazingly beautiful especially in the morning hours with diversified birds riveting with nature. Omkareshwara Hill is a small hill in Rajarajeshwarinagar in South Bangalore. Being 2800 ft above the sea level this place is one of the highest points in Bangalore. A clock tower on Omkar Hills is said to be the second largest in the world. It is also known for the Matsya Narayana Temple and Sri Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Temple. Spending the early mornings on the hilltop is an absolute bliss which refreshes your mind and soul.
