A video of Mithali Raj has gone viral that shows the legendary Indian cricketer, batting in a saree. She shares a special message with the India Women team ahead of the World Cup final.

Mithali Raj, the legendary batsman, shared a video on Instagram on Thursday showing her batting skills in a saree. The video, showing her playing her trademark strokes dressed in traditional Indian attire, has gone viral amongst the netizens.
The video had a message from Mithali for the Indian team which will play the T20 World Cup final against Australia on Sunday. “Let’s show the world that we can do it too. Come on, Team India, let’s bring the trophy home,” she said.
“Be a lady, they said,” reads a caption on the video as Mithali bats in a saree.
The text further states, “Every saree talks more than you and I know! It never tells you to fit in, it makes you stand out. This Women’s day, #StartSomethingPriceless and show the world that we can do it too. It’s time you start living life #OnYourTerms.”
Australia vs India
The above video arrived after the Indian women’s cricket team qualified for the final of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s T20 World Cup after their semi-final clash against England. India was qualified for putting a good performance in the group table, it came in after the match was washed out due to rain in Sydney.
After India qualified, Mithali had also congratulated the Women in Blue for creating history by making it to the summit showdown of the showpiece event for the very first time.
“As an Indian, I am thrilled India has made it to the finals. But as a cricketer, I feel for the English girls. I’d never want to find myself or my team in that situation. But the rules are such and it is what it is. Congratulations girls. This is big. #INDvENG #T20WC,” she had tweeted.
