India Today has accessed new WhatsApp messages sent by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh, to Rhea Chakraborty and her manager, Shruti Modi, in November last year. In the messages, KK Singh is urging Rhea to let him speak to the late actor. Sushant and Rhea were in a live-in relationship and the actress used to handle all matters of the late actor. Sushant was found hanging at his Mumbai home on June 14.
In the WhatsApp message sent by Sushant’s father to Rhea Chakraborty, KK Singh wrote, “Jab tum jan gaee ki main Sushant ka Papa hun to bat kyon nahin ki. Akhir baat kya hai. Friend ban kar uska dekhbhal our uska elaj karba rahi ho to mera bhi farj banta hai ki Sushant ke bare men sari jankari mujhe bhi rahe. Esliye call kar mujhe bhi sari jankari do (sic). (When you realised that I’m Sushant’s father, then why are you not replying? What’s the matter? If you are taking care of Sushant and helping him with his treatment as a friend, it’s also my responsibility as a father to know every detail about him. That’s why, please call me and inform about his treatment).”
In the other WhatsApp text, written to Shruti Modi, KK Singh is seen reiterating the same thing he told Rhea. He wrote, “Main janta hu ki Sushant ka sare karj our use bhi tum hi dekhti ho. Wah abhi kis stithi men hai, eske liye bat karna chah rahe the. Kal Sushant se bat huee thi toh usne kah raha tha ki main bahut pareshan hun. Ab tum socho ki ek pita ko kitni chinta hogi uske liye. Esliye tumse bat karna chah raha tha. Ab tum bat nahin kar rahi ho to main Mumbai jana chahta hu.
Flight ka ticket bhej do (sic). (I know that you handle Sushant and his work. I wanted to talk to you regarding Sushant’s condition. I talked to him yesterday and he told me that he is extremely worried. You can think how does it feel for a father. This is the reason I wanted to talk to you. And now that you are not talking, I want to come to Mumbai. Please send flight tickets).”
Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh, has filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and her family members accusing them of siphoning off Rs 15 crore from the late actor’s bank account. He also accused them of abetment to suicide. The Enforcement Directorate had filed a case of money laundering against Rhea and her family after KK Singh’s complaint. The agency has been questioning the actress and her family members in connection with the case.
Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, their father Indrajit Chakraborty have been grilled by the ED officials on Friday, Saturday and Monday. Shruti Modi was also questioned by the ED. She was called for the third round of questioning on Tuesday. She was asked to submit some documents in connection with the case.
