Shekhar Suman was one of the first Bollywood personalities who crusaded for justice to Sushant Singh Rajput. Over the last few months, the veteran has been giving out his views often, and in the latest interview too, there were many interesting details.
Shekhar’s comments on the viral party video
Talking about the video which was attended by some A-lister such as Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Varun Dhawan, he said: “There are so many people involved in this and they further have a nexus with peddlers. I am surprised that the video like this was in the public domain for a year now. Why wasn’t any action taken then? It is one year too late. I guess now are looking into the authenticity of the video and then they will get to the bottom of it. What’s the truth behind it.”
He added: “Whatever has emerged from this nexus, those arrested, it’s a comment on the fact that how much all of us in the society have taken to drugs. It needs to be tackled as soon as possible. As far as the video is concerned, those who uploaded should have been prepared to face the brunt of it. Now, they will have to go ahead and face the music.“
The ‘drug’ issue is taking Bollywood by storm
Ever since the drug angle came into the picture in Sushant’s case, the narrative has somewhat shifted. While Kangana Ranaut revealed that the entirety of Bollywood is using drugs, the likes of Anurag Kashyap have rubbished the reports. A few days, MP Jaya Bachchan also talked about the issue in the Parliament.
In a move that could involve many bigwigs, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has lodged a complaint that there was the consumption of drugs in Karan Johar’s party. NCB has now sent this video for testing.
