Varaha Roopam Back On Prime

Kantara song ‘Varaha Roopam’ has finally been added to the Rishab Shetty starrer after a Kerala court on Saturday returned the objection filed by Mathrubhumi Printing and Publishing Ltd (MPPCL) against Hombale Films, the makers of the blockbuster Kannada movie, in connection with the copyright argument regarding the use of the track.

Earlier, the Palakkad District Court and Kozhikode District Court had both passed separate injunction orders against the movie makers holding them from using the song. The Kozhikode court had returned the complaint first citing jurisdictional issues. Now, with the Palakkad court also returning the complaint, the makers can now use the song in the movie.

Rishab Shetty also took to Twitter to share the same with a message in Kannada. He said, “We have won the Varaha Roopam case with the blessings of the Daiva and the love of the people. We are going to change the song on the OTT platform very soon considering people’s request.”

The popular song Varaha Roopam, which was considered the soul of the film and had been embroiled in a copyright claim, is now back on Amazon Prime Video.
