Recently a new debate irrupted after Anupama Chopra announced a roundtable season with this year’s epic South Filmmakers but failed to invite top directors from the Kannada Industry. To this, the entertainment portal has come up with a wimpy excuse.
Round Table Session
Bollywood has been the most visible part of the Indian film industry over the decades but that dominance appears to be weakening recently. To talk about the same, Anupama Chopra announced a show called ‘Round Table Session’ on her YouTube channel called ‘Film Companion’. In this talk show, top directors from South Industry like SS Rajamouli, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Kamal Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Swapnadutt Chalasani, and Gautham Vasudev Menon are taking part.
Sadly, the entertainment portal failed to invite top directors from the Kannada Industry. This caused a major outrage among Kannada cinema Fans. Many called for a Boycott of the channel.

The justification
After harsh criticism, Film Companion came up with a wimpy excuse. It wrote on Twitter, “Hey, we reached out to multiple creators from the Kannada Industry who unfortunately couldn’t make it in time for us for this particular roundtable. But do stay tuned for more exciting updates.”
