Yesterday, actress Payal Ghosh accused filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment. The actress, who has been part of a few Telugu movies so far, levied the allegations while giving an interview to a Telugu channel. Later, she made her point clear by reiterating her accusation on her social media account.

The actress revealed that the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ director forced himself upon her, and when she denied it, Anurag apparently told that ‘it’ was common in the industry. He supposedly also said the actresses who had worked with him were fine with ‘it’.
Soon after she tagged PM Modi and called for his intervention, NCW also took note of the accusation and advised Payal to file a formal complaint. The actress replied back saying that she would do it.
Kangana Ranaut, who has been known for his crusade against several Bollywood bigwigs, went a step further and called for the arrest of the director.

Anurag denies all the allegations
In a series of tweets, Anurag Kashyap vehemently denied the allegations levied against him. He said (translated from Hindi): “What happened, you took a long time to attempt to silence me. No problem. In an attempt to silence me, you said too much dragging other women in it, being a woman yourself. Should have shown some respect, madam! Right now, I will only say that all the allegations leveled against me are baseless. Also, while putting allegations at me, dragging other actresses and the Bachchan family was a bad move. Yes, Madam, I have been married twice. If that is a crime, then I accept it. I have fallen in love many-a-times and I accept it.”
He added: “Be it my first wife, second, or any lover, or any actresses I have worked with, or girls who work in my team, or be it any woman I met in isolation or in public, I have never indulged in any inappropriate activity with them nor do I encourage it. Rest, whatever happens, I will see. The truth of the matter is clearly visible in your video, rest I only have love and prayers for you. I am sorry for replying to your English text in Hindi.”
