The makers intend to release KGF 3 in 2025, but no specific date has been set. Before all of this, there was a significant question that sparked speculation about whether Prashanth Neel will direct the Yash starrer for the third time.
KGF 3 on the card
On the first anniversary of Sandalwood’s pan-India blockbuster, ‘KGF: Chapter 2,’ the makers shared a video capturing the film’s journey. What has hyped up fans’ enjoyment is the hint of the third installment of the hugely popular and successful KGF franchise.
The video ends with a shot of a copy of the KGF Chapter 3 script, hinting at one more outing for the movie. Fans are now excited to witness Rocky Bhai once again on the big screen.
Neel to direct KGF 3?
Following the mammoth success of ‘KGF 1 & 2’, director Prashant Neel has become one of the most promising directors to have emerged from Southern Indian cinema, in recent times. But will he direct the third installment of the KGF franchise?
Prashanth Neel was supposed to direct NTR31 once Tarak is done with his ongoing project, NTR30. But, that project seems to be indefinitely postponed.
The KGF helmer had intended to commence the shoot on ‘NTR31’, once Tarak had concluded the shoot on his home production ‘NTR30’, which is being directed by Koratala Siva and stars Janhvi Kapoor. But, with the actor now being roped in to star in ‘War 2’ which will be helmed by Ayan Mukherji, Prashanth Neel have to wait even further to work with NTR.
Nevertheless, Prashanth Neel seems to have enough time to conceptualize and execute ‘KGF 3’, if he wishes to, as the shoot on ‘War 2’ will commence in November. This could very well leave him with the opportunity of joining hands with Yash once he is done with Salaar. But the final call is yet to be taken.
