Nawazuddin Siddiqui is definitely the most adaptable actor in the Indian film industry. Being a movie buff too, the actor is enjoying Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara. Recently, he met with Kantara lead Rishab Shetty and its team at his house.
Jealous of Rishab Shetty
Although Kantara was released a couple of months ago, it has already gone on to become one of the most thriving films this year. Surprisingly, even after 50-plus days in theaters, there’s no stopping its hype. Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently admitted to feeling jealous of Rishab Shetty and his film (in a good way).
ETimes reported that the Gangs of Wasseypur actor said his jealousy of Rishab Shetty is inspired by the great work done by the Kannada artist. The 48-year-old further explained that he views the Kantara star as healthy competition. According to Nawazuddin, this mindset helps him push out even better work by keeping him on his toes.
Flattered by Nawaz’s compliment, Rishab shared his mutual appreciation for his Bollywood counterpart’s films. He revealed that he had seen many films of the Wasseypur star, and had respect for the actor’s difficult journey in the industry.
Similarities between both
Also, Rishab Shetty even drew similarities between himself and Nawazuddin. He sees parallels in the way both hailed from middle-class backgrounds and worked against the odds to make it big in their respective industries. Shetty even went on to call Siddiqui an inspiration.
Taking to social media, Nawazuddin shared a few pictures from his house where he was hosting the whole team of Kantara. In the caption, he wrote, “It was super amazing to spend some quality time with you @rishabshettyofficial & @pramodshettyk & team #kantara at my house. Surprisingly @rishabshettyofficial and I have so many things in common that we could talk about it endlessly #cinema #art #theatre #craft #BVKaranthJi #GirishKarnaJi #kamalhaasan @ikamalhaasan Ji.”
Currently, Nawazuddin is gearing up for his upcoming film Haddi. Everybody is talking about how fresh and promising his role is and is looking forward to seeing him play a transgender woman. Meanwhile, on the work front, apart from Haddi, Nawaz has an impressive lineup of films which includes Tiku Weds Sheru, Noorani Chehra, and Adbhut.
