After 51 days and 60 matches, the Indian domestic cricket, the Indian Premier League has finally come to an end; Mumbai Indians take home their record 4th IPL trophy on 12th May. In an epic last ball drama, Lasith Malinga held his nerves yet again and delivered a yorker to trap Shardul Thakur leg before with CSK needing 2 runs to win off the last ball. Mumbai Indians win by 1 run, beating CSK for the fourth time in this season and the third time in an IPL final. With his massive runs of 692 runs in 12 innings with nine fifty-plus scores, makes to the top. The next player on the list, KXIP opener KL Rahul, the Karnataka lad stands exactly 99 runs short of Warner’s tally while also playing two innings more than the Aussie.
Purple Cap table:
Chennai Super Kings spinner Imran Tahir led the table with the most 26 wickets in 17 games, winning the Purple Cap award. Just behind him was Delhi Capital’s pacer Kagiso Rabada with 25 wickets with only 12 games. However, Rabada was ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
