Indian, a 1996 released Tamil movie was a mega-blockbuster directed by S. Shankar featuring Kamal Haasan in a double role. It had a story that revolved around an ex-army man and his struggles with his own son who gets corrupted. The way Kamal Haasan portrayed the character to its ultimate proficiency was applauded across which eventually gave Shankar, a star status. One highlight of the movie was a series of murder that a character called Senapathi does, using his muscle power; a twisted finger punch had become a trend back in those days.
Indian had a curious ending which paved way for the audience to wait for its sequel. There were talks, hoaxes, gossips but after 23 long years, it has come true as a fiesta to Shankar and Kamal’s fans. Yes, the first look of Indian 2 is out and it looks as intriguing as expected.
Kamal Haasan Is Back As Senapathi
Director Shankar on Tuesday unveiled the first look of upcoming Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan. The film will go on floors from January 18 and it will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Cast and Crew Of Indian 2
The cast and crew of Indian 2 will have MuthuRaj as production designer, Sreekar Prasad as an editor with dialogues by Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu, and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar. It will have lyrics written by Thamrai Vivek while action will be done by Jack Gill, Tadd Griffith, and Peter Hein.
Kajal Agarwal in Indian 2
The project Indian 2 stars Kajal Agarwal as the leading lady. The actress has confirmed her casting in the movie and tweeted about the same. The film is bankrolled by Lyca productions which might also star Dulquer Salman and Simbu in the primary characters.

Shankar on Indian 2
Indian is considered as one of the career-best movies of Shankar and for obvious reasons, its sequel will have a lot of expectations. Speaking about Indian 2, Shankar had earlier said,
“A lot of things happened around us in these years, and all that will be discussed in the sequel. Though I have done many films, Indian 2 will be close to my heart. After finishing every film, I used to think about developing a sequel to Indian, but finally, it materialized this year. The script has come out very well.”
